9 States Quietly Declare Their Independence

Occasionally, I’ll receive an email from Eric Nordstrom. He seems to change the name of his newsletter every few months, usually to whatever is fitting at the time, or dependent of the current events. 

Tonight, I received an email newsletter entitled, “Patriot Network Alert 020409″ from Eric Nordstrom’s email address. 

Before I go any further, I’d like to say I appreciate and respect this patriot’s level of passion and persistence to communicate his message to as many people as humanly possible. With that said, I’m puzzled about the opening of his email. In fact, I’ll re-post exactly what he said, then make comments after you read what he sent my way.

Good information to pass on to the sleeping public. It is preaching to the choir for most of you. Redistribute to the sleepers.

9+ States have now declared sovereignty, now add Washington to the list.

In case you didn’t hear about it on the mainstream media (which you haven’t because they want to keep us asleep), numerous states are currently declaring or have already declared sovereignty, including:

It is interesting to note that Arizona explicitly speaks about continuity of government and the role of servicemen.

“…if the President or any other federal entity attempts to institute martial law or its equivalent without an official declaration in one or more of the states without the consent of that state … individual members of the military return to their respective states and report to the Governor until a new President is elected…”

“The Tenth Amendment was intended to confirm the understanding of the people at the time the Constitution was adopted, that powers not granted to the United States were reserved to the States or to the people. It added nothing to the instrument as originally ratified.” — United States v. Sprague,  282 U.S. 716, 733  (1931).

When I read Item 1 from Eric’s email, I’m quite pleased to see Arizona, my home state, declaring their sovereignty. For years, I’ve firmly believed the federal government has grown too large and abused each State’s right and individual sovereignty. If the federal government encroaches on the independence of a State, and those elected State officials, including the Governor and Legislature, do nothing to cease the Federal Arm from violating individual human rights, then those officials should be removed from office by the people who elected them. The Governor as the Head Executive should stand up for her people, even if it means the end of her political career. 

A Governor, as Head of State, should do what is ethically and morally appropriate in every situation. How can a Governor allow for the illegal search and seizure of person and property in their State? Two examples are: 1) electronic wiretapping of phone devices, computer emails, and bank accounts, or 2) federal agents searching a State citizen’s property without a proper search warrant from a judge.

It is important that our States maintain a high level of independence from the Federal Arm. We wouldn’t be the United States if it weren’t for each and every State. 

This is why I was puzzled to read Eric’s email. To me, it seemed like he was bringing up this item, shinning a negative light upon it. He does provide a link to Ron Paul and Alex Jones discussing Obama’s stance on our country’s national sovereignty. The possibility does exist that our country might form a global coalitation with other nations. 

But it’s the Governors, the State Legislatures, and “We the People” who will determine if we shed our national sovereignty or not. Our President doesn’t have this power. Nor does the Congress have this ability. The Governors and State Legislatures could stop any attempt of our nation joining the New World Order (or whatever they’ll call it). The 9 States that quietly declared their sovereignty have done a great service to their people; other States should follow in their steps.

I’m very proud of the Arizona State Legislature for formulating a bill that declares their state sovereignty. That same bill further details their right during martial law to call back servicemen to protect the state:

“…if the President or any other federal entity attempts to institute martial law or its equivalent without an official declaration in one or more of the states without the consent of that state … individual members of the military return to their respective states and report to the Governor until a new President is elected…”

How powerful is that? Very powerful!

This shows that the President is not above any one person or state. In fact, if I were Governor of Arizona and President Obama declared martial law, I would immediately call back all Arizona servicemen to protect the state and it’s people.

UPDATE: A reader has brought it to our attention that none of these resolutions or bills have officially passed into law in the 9 listed states. Though they are not State law yet, I encourage readers in each of these states to contact their representatives and government officials. It’s a matter of principle that our individual States of this Union maintain their sovereignty, even though they’re united in the great American spirit.

    I am linking to this blog post. So many do not understand that the states were given the sacred duty to protect our sovereignty in the Constitution and that we even have the right to succeed from the Union. Lincoln was wrong when he raised an army to attack other states and enforce the will of the federal government. He was also wrong to suspend habeous corpus and keep southern leaders jailed indefinately in the North without trial or due process. I am not saying that Lincoln wasn’t acting on what he believed to be right, anymore than Obama would be acting on something he didn’t believe was right… but Presidents can be wrong and in violation of the Constitution and laws designed to protect We The People. Outstanding post Mr. Mitchell.

    Don’t worry folks. According to Ezekiel, Amos, some details in Revelation, and about half of the Bible and several other ancient texts, we will be destroyed on 10-10-09, the day of the next false-flag. The Bible and Russia both say this will be a nuke, probably the one the neocons stole in 07. When you quit believing the lies of the churches and actually read it, you will find that it calls this land Zion and describes our country, people, and political situation perfectly. No other country comes close. It says we are the children of Israel and dont know who we are. It talks about those who stir up strife in all nations and call themselves jews but are not jews. It describes the war as a full nuclear assault, from sea to sea, with an invasion of 200 million. Coincidentally, Russia has been telling us they would nuke us for the past year and a half over Iran. They have also put the hardware in place to do it. It describes an ancient and mighty nation coming against us which reminded me of when China snuck a sub in the middle of a US naval group doing maneuvers–completely undetected, and the time they moved massive troops into Russia, and the time they secretly closed all air flights in southern and eastern China, and the time they refused US ships entry to Hong Kong port for no reason. Revelation speaks of a 10 horned beast and the SCO has six members and four observers. That mark of the beast where no man can buy or sell without it reminds me of recently when Russia announced setting up a world financial capital in Moscow.

    These ancient texts accurately describe all the things that would happen if we had a 10th planet that passes close to us every 3600 years. The great earthquakes, great rain of fire and brimstone (Yellowstone), burning mountain cast in the sea, stars of heaven flung to earth (comets), sign in the heavens (Nibiru), and sun will scorch man (magnetic field collapse happening now). Amazingly, this would explain all the news articles about another planet since 1983 and the trillions the governments of earth have spent on infrared telescopes, deep underground military bases, and doomsday vaults. There exists much evidence of quick, civilization-destroying cataclysms that have happened every 3600 years. The last one was 3597 years ago. The Bible says this event will end the war on us but by then there will only be 10% of us left and many will be captive across the Earth. God will not come back to rescue us until about 70 years after the war. This is the event that no one knows the day. The date of the war is stated in Ezekiel 24:1-2 and he was not referring to a past event because the first chapter describes military jets. For those of you who believe in the rapture, read Amos 5:18.

    We cannot relay on Bible to much. The Bible has to be understood trough disciple succession. And its been broken long time ago. Please don’t refere to bible predicting world events.
    By the way I’m christian, belive in Christ and did a lot of research.

    Wow…imagine if all those states got their independence. No more America.

    I agree with terminator. The Bible is not a legitimate source for anything that has anything remotely to do with politics–and even if it did, all of it would be based on the morals of the believer so that wouldn’t help in any argument.

    I am also religious (Catholic, to be exact) and I disagree with everything Dude said.

    Any nuclear war is not cost effecive. Nothing is going to happen in 2010 nor 2012 nor in the next 200 years…by man’s hand. tt is more likely that a refrigerator size meteor will srtike the earth sometime towards the end of that 200 year estimate and our technology should allow us to then mount a unilatteral defense mechanism by, asu usual, crsis management…(that refrig strike will wake up the sheep).

    If the plans that are already set in motion become realized. People around the globe will demand better ‘everything’ and get it.

    Once bellies are filled and everyone is sufficiently addicted to TV and ’surfing the net’…no one will want to upset the cart and do something so stupid as to remove their cell phone or Ipod usage…there will thus be a very boring peace.

    Well, looking at my stat’s bill (MO) it’s express intent is to make sure MO can still ban abortion no matter what our SCOTUS says. I’m pro-choice, so that should tell you where I stand on this issue, at least in my state.

    And the bible is not a legitimate source for ANYTHING, let alone politics.

    Very interesting. I think the bible quoting dude is off his rocker. I will make some observations though:
    1) China thinks ‘we’ owe them a trillion dollars.
    2) I have heard that the federal government will use mortgage derivatives to back up the debt. Basically that means they will give the chinks carte blkanche to foreclose on properties and then colonize those residences with Chinese nationals given visaas by our own fed
    Dissolving the federal government will do two things:
    A] Repudiate all debts to foreign powers,as the fed will no longer exist.
    B] Give individual states the right to revoke all washington DC based visas and green cards, and prevent all foreign nationals from attempting to colonize individual states.

    This is a hoax, people. Don’t believe me, look at the bills for yourselves. Nearly all of them are from the 90’s. There are only a couple current, but they aren’t intended to do anything except ‘remind’ the government of the 10th amendment. Nothing of note.

    Yes, as stated above, all these have not been entered into Law. Most are resolutions which have no affect at all. It will be amazing if Legislatures in any state would have the balls to stand up against the Federal government. Most states are addicted to the Federal dollar. If a state stood against the Feds the Feds would first pull all their funds and most states would cry as well as all the people on the federal dole… SS, unemployment, waiting for your tax return, a bank’s bail out. If a State legislature woke up, I think the first thing they could do is Impeach a few corrupt judges. Instruct Juries and form their State guard. It sure could be fun.

    I wrote an email today to my Arizona state legislators thanking them for honoring the Constitutional rights of the state, and in turn, my rights. I told them “I know that, so far, this is a symbolic gesture; but I am hoping you will follow through with action, if needed.”

    If you are an Arizonan, who believes in your rights, afforded to you by the Constitution, then I suggest that you do the same. Remind them that we expect them to guard these Constitutional rights, at the state level. Thank them for bringing it to the forefront, with this resolution, and bringing attention to those Constitutional rights.

    I think Washington needs a ‘wake up call’ and I believe that many of our states are trying to take the first step in doing just that.

    BTW, the majority of those states are from resolutions and filings this year (2009). Obots will try to minimize this. Don’t let them!

    Whereas, the United States Supreme Court has ruled in New York v. United States, 112 S. Ct. 2408 (1992), that Congress may not simply commandeer the legislative and regulatory processes of the states; and

    Whereas, a number of proposals from previous administrations and some now pending from the present administration and from Congress may further violate the Constitution of the United States.

    Therefore

    Be it resolved by the House of Representatives of the State of Arizona, the Senate concurring, that:

    1. That the State of Arizona hereby claims sovereignty under the Tenth Amendment to the Constitution of the United States over all powers not otherwise enumerated and granted to the federal government by the Constitution of the United States.

    2. That this Resolution serves as notice and demand to the federal government, as our agent, to cease and desist, effective immediately, mandates that are beyond the scope of these constitutionally delegated powers.

    3. That all compulsory federal legislation that directs states to comply under threat of civil or criminal penalties or sanctions or requires states to pass legislation or lose federal funding be prohibited or repealed.

    4. That the Secretary of State of the State of Arizona transmit copies of this resolution to the President of the United States, the President of the United States Senate, the Speaker of the United States House of Representatives, the Speaker of the House and the President of the Senate of each state’s legislature and each Member of Congress from the State of Arizona.

    These are probably some ignorant questions but either way I need to know:
    Under a sovereign state, what power or voice do the people have? While I believe my state, Arizona, made a wise choice, they did so without my consent. This concerns me that these types of decisions can be made without the voice of the people.
    Are my rights as a United States Citizen still protected under the constitution or can they be infringe upon by local authorities?
